We’re excited to partner with some of the world’s most impactful companies in our effort to create inclusive and harassment-free workplaces.

The Purple Campaign developed a first-of-its-kind corporate certification program  specifically focused on addressing workplace harassment with the goal of recognizing employers taking exemplary steps and implementing best practices in the field. The initial participating companies were from the technology sector and included Airbnb, Amazon, Expedia, Uber, and Viasat.

The pilot phase of the certification program included a survey of currently implemented policies and practices, which we used to benchmark existing practices and develop our certification criteria. Additionally, the Purple Campaign led conversations with corporate leaders and policy experts, conducted trainings, and undertook additional research to understand how employers were adapting to a new world of work in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. This additional research has further influenced the evolution of our certification program to ensure it addresses workplace harassment with a changing workforce.

Our Research

Our certification program was developed in partnership with the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) and the Urban Institute.

The Urban Institute is a nonprofit research organization that believes decisions shaped by facts, rather than ideology, have the power to improve public policy and practice, strengthen communities, and transform people’s lives for the better.
