Announcing Our Certification Partnership with Airbnb, Amazon, Expedia & Uber
It’s a big week here at the Purple Campaign, and I wanted to make sure I shared the exciting news with you.
We’re kicking off our Corporate Certification Program with four founding research partners: Airbnb, Amazon, Expedia, and Uber!
Over the past 18 months, we’ve conducted extensive research on workplace harassment to better understand its causes, how it impacts different groups of workers, and how to address the problem through corporate certification. Now, we’re excited to partner with some of the world’s most impactful companies to continue our efforts to create inclusive and harassment-free workplaces.
You can read more about our official announcement, the certification program, and our corporate partners in these features in Fortune and CNN Business.
Uber Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer Bo Young Lee and Purple Campaign President Ally Coll
Yesterday morning, I joined Bo Young Lee, Uber’s Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, at our kickoff event in New York City to discuss the certification program and why companies like Uber are partnering with us on the effort. As Bo explained, Uber is “joining this coalition because these efforts continue to be top of mind for our leadership team and company” and she hopes “that more companies will join the Purple Campaign’s coalition so that, together, we can build better workplaces.”
By joining our certification coalition, these companies are demonstrating their commitment to identifying gaps in the current system and developing stronger corporate policies for the future. But this is just the beginning: the more companies that participate in our program, the more effective we’ll be at addressing harassment for workers across all workplaces and industries.
If you’re interested in joining our community of leading employers addressing workplace harassment — or know someone who might be — please visit the Corporate Certification section of our website to learn more.
Tomorrow, I’m excited to continue our launch week by joining Airbnb’s General Counsel Rob Chesnut, along with other leading experts in the field, to discuss the certification program at the National Association of Women Lawyers’ Annual Meeting.
Stay tuned for more updates — I’m grateful for your support and excited to continue building momentum for our coalition together.

Ally Coll
